AVOR is proud to continue its long-standing relationship with Croydon Primary School through the design, documentation, and contract administration of a new indoor basketball and multi-sport stadium. The facility includes player change rooms, offices, umpire amenities, first aid, and storage, delivering a highly functional and flexible space for both school and community use.
Federally funded to support shared use, the stadium has been designed as a true community asset. Its architecture draws inspiration from the school’s green identity, softened with natural timber tones that connect the building to its surrounding, forest-like environment.
A key design feature is the set of large operable fire doors, which open the gymnasium to the adjacent oval, enabling seamless indoor–outdoor sporting integration and events. Translucent Danpalon cladding wraps the upper façade, filtering natural light into the space and creating a bright, uplifting interior atmosphere.
The result is a durable, welcoming facility that supports sport, learning, and community connection.
