Macleod Park Pavilion

Macleod Park Pavilion

Location: Macleod, Victoria
Client: Banyule City Council
Value: $3 million
Status: Completed March 2026
Project Type: Pavilion Redevelopment

Macleod Park Pavilion was rebuilt to provide female-friendly change facilities for AFL and cricket within a narrow site between the oval and a rail line. The layout prioritises safe, accessible links to the oval while maximising change rooms, amenities and storage. It delivers separate, well-equipped female change rooms with direct field access, clear sightlines for safety, secure equipment storage, accessible toilets, umpire and coaches’ rooms and first aid. Material and acoustic choices mitigate rail impacts; form and orientation reduce overshadowing and create sheltered transition zones. Landscaping and paths preserve sightlines and safe movement. The result is a compact, functional pavilion that meets site constraints and community needs, enhancing participation and player experience.
